Catholic Charities, Santa Rosa and Petaluma Adult School will host the event at the Catholic Charities Immigration Services in Santa Rosa, California, along with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services.

According to a press release, the goal of this workshop is to help people better understand the naturalization process and the resources available to them to help them along. One of the specific things to be covered during the information session will be what sort of content appears on the naturalization test.

In addition, informed personnel will be on hand to go over the residency and eligibility requirements for citizenship, what fees will be required and what forms need to be filed, among other things. All of these things are essential to know for those hoping to obtain US citizenship.

According to the Pew Hispanic Center in Washington, D.C., Hispanics made up about 47 percent of immigrants in the US in 2009.
